Veggie Stir Fry

stir fryVegetable stir fries are so good. As a vegetarian I leave out the meat. The Armenian side of me loves garlic and onions so my stir fry contains lots of both. Whenever I make this for my father he scarfs it up.

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Onions
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic (You can put less or omit it if you are not a big fan of garlic.)
  • Sesame oil
  • Ginger
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Hot sauce (I prefer Crystal’s but you could also use Tobasco Sauce. I’m a fan of Louisiana hot sauces.)
  • Brown rice or whole grain pasta (I prefer the latter.)

Instructions:

Cook the rice or pasta. Coat a frying pan with sesame oil. Saute the onions and garlic. Add the veggies and the seasonings. (I don’t put measurements because I don’t measure how much I put in. Do what suits your tastes.) Fry until the carrots are completely cooked.
